Collaroy
Nestled just steps away from the pristine shores of Collaroy, Shelter Building Projects embarked on a comprehensive renovation project employing sustainable and healthy building practices. Upon acquisition, the property demanded extensive refurbishment; the deteriorating deck and outdated 1970s design failed to leverage the prime location and breathtaking views. The renovation entailed a complete gutting of the property, with extensive consideration for potential mould as is needed with all renovations. We employed building biologists and utilised 3 dehumidifiers 24/7 during the build process to ensure there was zero prescence of mould. Emphasising health-conscious construction, the project integrated features such as low VOC building materials, EMF protection considerations in the design, blue-blocking lights, absence of microwaves, and strategic positioning of electrical wiring and power boxes to mitigate harmful EMF/EMR effects. Every design decision was meticulously tailored to enhance the coastal vistas, with a complete redesign of the floor plan, becoming more open plan. The outcome was a remarkable transformation that captivated buyers, resulting in a swift sale within two weeks of listing, prior to auction.
